Now there is sight to the end of the drudgery of this wet winter, we can start looking forward to spring. If you didn’t know, Bearded Theory returns to the National Forests idyllic countryside for our Ninth festival. Again, all set in the enchanting surroundings of Catton Park and surrounding Woodland, from Thursday May 27th to Sunday May 29th 2016.

This year’s Sunday theme is “STARS IN THEIR EYES”; come along as your favourite, icon past or present. We will be giving away prizes for the best dressed.

Fresh off the back of their arena tour with Thunder we are pleased to announce that TERRORVISION join Fridays Pallet line up. We will be making our final announcement that will include the last Pallet band and Sundays Woodland headliner on March 1st in a snazzy new video. Terrorvision join headliners; SQUEEZE, LEVELLERS, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT & PUBLIC IMAGE LIMITED.

We are continuing to experience our best ever ticket sales this year and we remain on target to sell out next month. So thank you to those of you who have chosen to come along!

Maui Waui have finalised their line up confirming; AERIALISM CIRCUS, THE LAST DROP, VESNA ERNST, PURPLE LIGHTS and WILLING GALES.

THE CONVOY CABARET have been busy and are delighted to announce that ED COX will headline Friday; being joined by the SPORADICS, BAD FRACTALS, FILTHY SPECTACULA, HAGER THE WOMB and MIDWEEK RATTLE. Saturday shall be headlined by TRIBAZIK and joining them are THE CRAVATS, RAT BAG, LUVDUMP, ONE EYED GOD and 51ST STATE. Sunday is headlined by Bearded Theory favourites P.A.I.N along with THE INBREDZ, DAMIDGE, CUBA LIBRE and MAMMA JERK & THE LADY FINGERS. The Convoy Cabaret will be bringing some mad cabaret along with comedy sides shows, punk hairdressers and a tattoo parlour.

The wonderful SOMETHING ELSE TEA TENT and open mic make a return, amazingly this is Gail’s 9th year with the festival. Thornbridge are back again for their 5th year at the festival bringing their award winning ales at pub tariffs. We also have an extensive selection of independent food traders, markets and crafts activity stalls. Following on from your feedback – we are putting a bigger selection of real ales and ciders into the Woodland area.

We have repositioned the car park so you don’t have any ramps or road crossings therefore it’s MUCH closer to the campsite than last year. We also have hired the same toilet contractor to come back again to make sure we are sparkling for the whole festival.

We have also sorted out public transport to the festival and we are delighted to have implemented coach services picking up in 18 locations as well as running a shuttle service from Litchfield. For every person that uses this service we will protect 5 square foot of the rain forest for 10 years. Please use the service as it’s taken us some time to get this sorted and it will obviously save parking charges for yourselves.

The quiet camping area will be much bigger this year as will the Accessible camping area also – which has taken over last year’s Tipi field. It’s great to see these areas being used and being available to those that need it.
