Earth Area

Crafts

This year at Bearded Theory, Labyrinth Arts are pleased to be hosting an exciting array of traditional and green crafts workshops, ran by experienced teachers.

The crafts area is a temporary, artistic community space, in which people, whether old or young, can participate in acts of creativity that are both affordable and accessible.

In the crafts area, we actively encourage participation in arts in the widest sense of the term whether through watching, learning, creating or buying. We hope to inspire green living and sustainability through craft related activities.

We have lots of diverse and interesting workshops on offer, which use natural and re-cycled  materials. Come and make your own boat and sail it across our little temporary pond. Get dirty with the earth and throw a pot. Take part in the fantastic drumming circle and come and make insects with metal from re-cycled materials.

You could easily spend a whole day in this area and learn new skills or brush up on existing ones. Come and speak to crafts folk who make a living from selling and sharing their creations. Gain an insight into their lives, or simply watch as other make and discuss beautiful things.

Healing

The Earth Area will also be the home to many healing practitioners who can ease your aches and pains whether emotional or physical.

This year we have a range of varied healing types including tarot readings, shiatsu, deep massage and reflexology.

The Shambulance (shamanic ambulance) will also be parked up in the area, providing treatments including power and soul retrievals, and other healing journeys. Workshops and led-journeys are also offered to children, where they can journey to meet their power animals (the best imaginary friends!).

We are also very please to welcome the Sheffield based Red Tent Collective, who will be running workshops and healing sessions in the Earth Area, relating to woman’s health and well being, using creativity and meditation. There will also be interactive talks on herbal medicine and opportunities for Group discussion.
