Ey-Up from Derbyshire but we won’t call you a duck

We are firming up our line up and delighted that the Woodland, and Convoy Cabaret join Magical Sounds in finalizing their 2017 billing. We have one more band to come for the Pallet Stage which will be announced soon and Maui Waui need to field a few more phone calls.

We have done a full run down of who is playing this year in the lineup tables below. We have over 100 acts for you to discover and we have a Spotify play list thingy-me-jig for you to listen to who is playing across all our stages.

Following on from the feedback in 2016, we have secured a brand new field solely for the use of families which is huge and very close to the car park when you first arrive. The image here shows where that is: –

This year’s campsites will be nice and spacious and have the same quality facilities people expect from us, including: free to use Children’s Village, free hot showers, clean toilets and a more washing up stations.

We will do the sales ploy nonsense now and tell you our tickets are selling really, really, really, really well. This might be down to it being our 10 year anniversary, the spankingly good line-up on offer or we have calculated our sums incorrectly. If it isn’t the latter, we will sell out way in advance of this year’s festival. Campervan and Caravan passes are running very low and will sell out this month.

We have a flurry of updates and announcements relating to this year’s bands, disc jockeys and recitalists.

Bearded Theory

We are delighted that Platinum and Gold selling Scottish indie outfit GLASVEGAS join the Pallet on the Sunday bringing their animated and renowned live show to the fields of Catton Hall. Glasvegas chart successes stem back to 2008 with their debut album going into the UK charts at number 2 and charting in 9 other countries including America. Follow up albums “Euphoric Heartbreak” and “Later TV Turns to Static” also charting in the UK at number 10 and elsewhere in Europe at number 1.

The Woodland have bagged a coup in securing post-punk legends THE FALL to perform on Saturday night before the previously announced FOY VANCE. Despite line-up changes over the years, the notorious king-pin front man Mark E. Smith will be leading the band out onto the solid oak stage in the Woodland. The Falls back catalogue is legendary with 9 top 40 albums and a chart topping single in Totales`s Turns with their latest chart success being in 2013. Kissmet have jumped over to Sunday to enable this acquisition and for that we are forever grateful. Sadly Wheatus have cancelled their show on the Sunday due to routing but we are in talks to allocate the slot on another day.

The amazing and beautiful folk duo KATHRYN ROBERTS & SEAN LAKEMAN replace the previously announced Nova Twins who had to cancel due to touring commitments elsewhere. Bearded skiffle legends PLEASE Y SELF join Sundays billing with RAGS RUDI swapping over to the Friday night and finally folk festival favorites GREEN MAN RISING conclude the join Fridays line up.

CONVOY CABARET GO DOOLALLY IN DERBYSHIRE

Bearded Theory

This year Convoy Cabaret will be returning to add yet another dimension to the already amazing festival. Roll up, roll up and step right into a world of old time vaudeville meets post-apocalyptic mayhem with music and cabaret, sideshows and freaks.

There’s an exciting mix of bands/DJ’s set in a theatrical backdrop with the Convoy Chorus Line and the raunchy pyrotechnics of the Spanglegrinders. Visit the Freak Boutique for a twattoo or maybe a punk cut at God Shave the Queen’s Salon, or even make a badge of your own design. Convoy resident DJ`s Mark Kelly and Rudeboy will kick things off daily along with some cabaret with CIRCUS INSANE and more cabaret strangeness between and during live performances.

Friday kicks off with dub punk act PUBLIC ORDER ACT, punk poet ANDY T, dub hip-hop band CUBA LIBRE, hard-core punkers CLUSTERFUCK, some wacked-out country & western weirdness from THE REV SCHNEIDER AND THE BAND OF ANGELS and ska rave rock rappers CHINA SHOP BULL. Late night sessions from X-rated hip hop act INBREDZ, punk ravers GUTTERPUNKZ KREW, punk act SWEETHEARTS and electronic beats from TRAV CHAV.

Saturday will see traveller punk REALITY ATTACK, festival favourites TARANTISM, militant ska act
SPANNER, heavy rock band LACERTILIA, ska act RATBAG, ska punk act SPORADICS,

Sunday finishes things off with gospel psycho country punk PASTOR DISASTER, ukulele punk band aptly named Ukulele Subs, festival favourites SKRAELINGS, hip-hop reggae act DUB THE EARTH, legendary punk act OMEGA TRIBE, punk band DOGSHITE, dub band ONE EYED GOD and finally the infamous free festival favourites BACK TO THE PLANET.
