Happy Christmas

Thank you for your amazing support in 2015 and we hope you have a wonderful Christmas period with your family and friends.

Our Christmas present to you is to announce a few more names for our ninth festival. We are delighted to be welcoming PUBLIC IMAGE LIMITED to headline the Saturday night. Their legendary frontman John Lydon will be bringing his customary swagger to the Pallet Stage, along with PiL’s incendiary back catalogue. Joining them and completing the days billing are Jamaican reggae legends BLACK UHURU.

A quick update regarding the final bands for the Pallet. Friday night we have one band contracted but we are not allowed to announce yet and another we haven’t quite got over the line. On Sunday are close to securing our final headliner and second biller but it will be a New Year announcement for both of these.

The MAGICAL SOUNDS crew have been busy and we have a huge line up to announce and arguably the biggest in the Magical history.JUNO REACTOR will bring their legendary full live show to top the billing on Saturday, also performing on Saturday is DJ LUCAS (TWISTED), MANMADEMAN, MERV PEPLER (EAT STATIC), OOOD, ED TANGENT, AUDIOADDICTZ, MUTATED PONY, MAD MICK and ENGINE, EARS.

The infamous and legendary OTT & THE ALL SEEING EYE top Sunday and we also welcome THE ORB, ASTRALASIA, LOOP GURU, NITEWORKS, INDIGIO HERDER, USHTI BABA and REV DREAD SUNDAY SERVICE.

STRONTIUM DOGS headline Friday and will be joined by CHRIS LIBERATOR AND STIRLING MOSS, FESTIVAL FAVOURITES SUBGIANT, GLOWBONES, DOGHOUSE (SICKNOTE). DARK CITY SISTAS, CLUMSY, BENJI303, CRYSTAL GEF and DRUM MACHINE.

The Woodland welcomes our friends the 3 DAFT MONKEYS who complete Saturdays line up, FLUTATIOUS who join us on the Sunday and ATILLA THE STOCKBROKER who jumps on board Fridays line up. The Woodland has a handful of names to announce including Sundays closing headliner.

We have full listings due out next month to finalise all stages including our brand new stage MAUI WAUI (see picture below). The full line up for the Maui Waui, Convoy Cabaret and Woodland Comedy will be released next month.

Gail is back with her motley crew to run the crazy Something Else Tea Tent and open mic, amazingly this is Gail’s 9th year with the festival. The festival school is back on the Friday and the Children’s Village will once again be free of charge to all parents. Thornbridge are back again for their 5th year at the festival bringing award winning ales at pub tariffs. Following on from feedback we are putting a bigger selection of real ales and ciders into the Woodland area. We also have an exciting new cabaret tent but we are sorting out some finer details with this. The site art budget has been doubled and will be brought together by our friends at Labyrinth Arts along with them producing a wonderful healing area.

We have repositioned the car park so you don’t have any ramps or road crossings and its much closer to the campsite than last year. Apologies, we fluffed that up last time around. We also have the same toilet contractor back again to make sure we are sparkling for the whole festival. We also have looked at sorting out the public transport to the festival and we are delighted to have coaches picking up in 18 locations plus running a shuttle service from Litchfield. Every person that uses the service we will protect 5 square foot of the rain forest for 10 years. Please use the service as it’s taken us ages to get this sorted and it will save parking charges. The quiet camping will be in a much bigger area along with access camping. It’s great to see these areas being used and being available to those that need it.
