"It is always pleasing to see a festival that fully includes children rather than shunt them to the sidelines" Efestivals

"one of the best family festivals" Daily Mirror

Bearded Theory prides itself on being one of the best family festivals in the country, with the Children's Village taking over 1 acre of the festivals arena. We have been shortlisted for the Family Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards in previous years and received brilliant reviews from various news mediums.

We aim to create a festival within a festival for children of all ages and we have around 50 different workshops within a 1 acre children's village operating throughout the weekend. We aim to make the festival as safe as possible for children and adults alike. All activities are coordinated by CRB registered staff and children can use their own toilets on site!

Children can explore the Angels Gardens and will find tons of things to keep them inspired including wand making & garland making, circus skills, Cabaret, celebrity host, make lanterns & jewellery, bluncy castle, fire shows, inflatable slides, take part in the bearded Olympics, Waterwalkerz, talent competitions, dedicated stage hosting child acts, Body Zorbing, dressing up, make bath bombs, MC & DJ workshop, children's theatre, puppet shows. We have around 50 activities ongoing throughout the weekend.

The Waters Edge Stage will be programming a Children's Comedian on Sunday morning.

All the children need to do is look on the board everyday to see what's on and then come and play.

Information

Lost Children

Lost children will be welcomed at the Pixie Pad, a lovely special caravan that is specially provided for children (and the odd parent) to go to when they get lost. All children will be given wristbands so parents/guardians can write their contact phone number should you get separated.

Quiet Camping

We have a quiet area for families to camp which will be clearly signposted upon entry to the campsite.

Kids only luxury loos

We know how important the perfect toilet is for children at festivals so we will have two lovely toilets just for children, with washing and cleaning facilities and even a guest book (under 12's only).
