Childrens Area
Angel Gardens can easily be found by looking for the magnificent Soul Pads and a beautiful garden.
Here you can find a whole gathering of stuff to do, places to sit and things to see, or maybe you just want somewhere to sit and enjoy a traditional festie vibe…
Caractacus Potts:
Our Tea shop is open all day and late into the night. Drinks are cheap as chips and you candecorate your pot. If you want to take your pot home, tell them at the counter and you can have your very own pot, decorate it and keep it in the gardens to use every time you come back for a drink, take it home on Monday. Feel free to bring your own cup to fill up or borrow one of ours and add your mark to it.
Soul Pads:
We have a lovely collection of Soul Pads. Magnificent bell tents where you can sit and chill on the cushions and throws. There will be arts and crafts about, books and games. Feel free to enjoy.
Workshops:
Over the weekend we will be holding lots of workshops for adults and kiddies. You can Plant some veg, try your hand and rag rug making, make a willow lantern, add your mark to the Bearded Theory mural, make sun catches, wands, dream catches and much much more. Look on the board for times and details.
Make A Wish!
The famous Wish Tree will be on site for you to make a wish; your wish will travel to the many other festivals this year and will stay on the tree forever!!
HoldaHand:
Come and hold a hand! This arts project is giving you the opportunity to be involved with the biggest community arts project in the country. Come and take a little hand, register it, decorate it, keep it, take pics and be creative. After a year you will be asked to send it back and your hand will go in to the exhibition with all 32,000 of the other hands.
Weddings:
You can come and get married at Angel Gardens, come along and make a date. You can choose from the camp fire gardens or the peace garden.
Fairy Wings and Dressing up:
We have a lovely little shop called Truly Scrumptious. You can get all manner of dressing up things, from fairy wings, cowboy hats, pirate costumes and accessories, feather masks, wands, crowns and wigs, all cheap as chips and tons of fun for adults and children.
Face painting:
Our face painter is not just for kiddies (although they are welcome)… We are trying to get as many fairies and pirates as possible this year, so come on down and experience our alternative face painting skills, it’s not just tigers and butterflies here you know.
Campfire Nights:
The campfire will be lit at dusk and the gardens will turn into a twinkly mass of loveliness. A bed Time story for the little ones at 8.30pm and the availability of a Soul Pad for them to snooze in while Mummy and Daddy chill in the gardens. (Please don’t leave them though!!) We will have acoustic music throughout the night and if you have you guitar or want to join in please come and see us we’ll slot you in…
We’ll be around on Friday getting ready for the opening parade(come and help!), don’t worry we’ll come and pick you up, we’ll be making our way around site and taking you to the main stage to kick off the festival in style! We’ll be setting off about 3pm on Friday.
Angel Gardens welcome adults and children, we welcome breast feeding mummies and have facilities for warming baby food.
All our Angels are working for free, so please give them a hug so say thanks (we like chocolate too), all workshops are available for a small voluntary (that means you don’t have to give) donation. Without your donations we couldn’t spread our love. So thank you in advance x.
Angel Gardens is like a festival within a festival, once an Angel always an Angel.
